The Natural Heritage Trail leads to nature reserves where rare species of flora and fauna are protected. They include
the Kajasówka reserve in Czernichów,
the Kozie Kąty reserve in
the Bronaczowa Forest in Radziszów and
the Cieszynianka reserve in Mogilany. There are also a few unprotected sites where one can find species threatened with extinction, such as the thick-shelled river mussel (Wola Radziszowska), and the large blue (Kajasówka reserve and Skawina). Beavers live on
Cedron at Wola Radziszowska.
